Napoli want to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech on loan for next season, according to reports in the Italian media.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by the Sun, is reporting that the Serie A side are keen to bring the experienced goalkeeper to Italy this summer as they look to bolster their squad.

Cech is entering into the final year of his contract at Arsenal and it remains to be seen whether the veteran shot-stopper will remain as the Gunners’ first choice at The Emirates following the appointment of Unai Emery as the club’s new manager.

The same report says that Emery is keen to bring in a new goalkeeper before the start of the season, and that could pave the way for Cech to move to Napoli this summer.

The Italian club are being linked with a move to bring him to Serie A on a temporary deal if Arsenal do indeed bring in a new goalkeeper this summer.

Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title.

The north London side will at least be hoping to break back into the top four next season after they finished sixth and without a trophy last term.
