Jack Wilshere is set to leave Arsenal on a free transfer this summer after Unai Emery decided that he is not part of his plans, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the 26-year-old has been informed that he does not fit into the new Arsenal manager’s plans and he is poised to leave the club for nothing at the end of his contract.

Wilshere’s future has been a constant source of speculation in recent months due to the fact that his current deal is set to expire this summer.

According to the same story, Wilshere was “desperate” to stay at The Emirates this summer, but it now looks like his time at the north London club is over.

The article now says that Wolves, West Ham and Everton are among the clubs keeping tabs on the midfielder’s situation as they look to sign him this summer.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to bring in a number of players ahead of Emery’s first campaign in charge.

The Spanish manager has been tasked with at least steering the Gunners back into the top four next season.
