The midfielder’s future has been a constant source of speculation this season due to the fact that his current deal is set to expire this summer.

The player himself has always hinted that he wanted to stay at his boyhood club and sign a new contract.

It is a summer of change at The Emirates, with Emery having been appointed as Arsene Wenger’s successor at the club following the Frenchman’s decision to step down at the end of the season.
