Arsenal star Jack Wilshere to hold talks with Unai Emery – report
Jack Wilshere is to hold talks with Unai Emery about his Arsenal future, according to reports
Jack Wilshere is set to hold talks with Unai Emery about his long-term future at Arsenal in the coming days, according to reports in the British media.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the England midfielder is set to meet with the new man in charge at The Emirates to discuss his situation, with his current contract set to expire this summer.
According to the same story, Wilshere’s preference is to stay at The Emirates and he is willing to sign a three-year deal worth around £100,000 a week with the Gunners.
However, it is also claimed in the same article that Wilshere will seek assurances from the new manager at The Emirates that he will have a regular role in the first team next season and beyond.
Wilshere has managed to hold down a regular place in the second half of last season under Arsene Wenger but it wasn’t enough to earn him a place in the World Cup squad with England.
The 26-year-old’s future has been a constant source of speculation in recent months due to the fact that his contract is due to expire this summer.
Arsenal finished sixth in the Premier League table last season and without a trophy.
