Unai Emery has taken to social media to reveal his excitement at Arsenal’s start to the Premier League season.

The new man in charge at The Emirates will see his side host Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season, before a tricky trip to Chelsea FC in their next game.

All eyes will be on the Gunners to see how they adapt to life under their new manager following Emery’s appointment as Arsene Wenger’s successor at the club.

And Emery took to social media to deliver his reaction after the tricky fixture list was confirmed on Thursday.

Emery wrote on Twitter in response to a message from the Premier League welcoming him to the English top flight: “Thank you so much. A really exciting start for us @Arsenal !”

Arsenal will be looking to at least break back into the top four next season after the north London side finished sixth and without a trophy last term.

The Gunners have not won the Premier League title since 2004 and they have missed out on Champions League qualification for the last two seasons running.

Wenger chose to step down at the end of last season after almost 22 years in charge of the north London club.
