Arsenal to sign 17-year-old on three-year contract – report
Arsenal are set to tie up a deal to sign Yacine Adli from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports
Arsenal are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Yacine Adli from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in France.
French outlet Paris United, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Gunners are poised to complete the signing of the teenager on a three-year contract as Unai Emery looks to revamp his squad.
The same story says that the teenager has rejected the offer of a new contract at PSG in favour of linking up with the Premier League outfit. The deal is also reported to include the option of a further two years.
Emery has been looking to get Arsenal’s transfer business under way since having been appointed as the club’s new manager in the summer.
Attacking midfielder Adli has featured for France at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level, scoring 13 times over 33 caps.
According to the same story, PSG were prepared to offer Adli more money, but the midfielder instead chose to link up with the Gunners this summer.
Arsenal will be looking to at least try and break back into the top four next season after the Gunners ended up in sixth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy in Arsene Wenger’s final campaign in charge.
