Aaron Ramsey hands Arsenal a big transfer boost – report
Aaron Ramsey has indicated that he is willing to sign a new contract at Arsenal, according to reports
Arsenal have been handed a boost by news that Aaron Ramsey is ready to commit his future to the north London club, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Gunners are “optimistic” that the Wales international will agree a deal to stay at Arsenal beyond the end of his current contract.
The 27-year-old’s future has begun to become something of a source of speculation because his current deal is set to expire at the end of next season.
According to the same story, Ramsey has already been offered a new contract which represents a significant increase on the £100,000 a week he currently earns at The Emirates, and the midfielder has now indicated that he is willing to extend his stay at the north London club.
The same report says that new manager Unai Emery wants to build a new-look midfielder around Ramsey – but the Gunners will look to sell him this summer if he refuses to sign a new deal.
Despite the indications that Ramsey is ready to sign a new Arsenal deal, the same report says that both Chelsea FC and FC Barcelona have been monitoring the midfielder’s situation in the past.
