Sport Witness, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Gunners are interested in a potential swoop to sign the World Cup star.
The same article states that Arsenal face competition from their Premier League rivals Chelsea FC and Manchester United in the Russia international.
According to the same story, Serie A champions Juventus are leading the race to sign the 22-year-old playmaker in the summer transfer window.
Sport Witness go on to claim that Juventus have already made an initial offer for Golovin of around €15m but CSKA are hoping to secure a transfer fee in the region of €25m-€30m.
Arsenal finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a sport in the Champions League for the second successive season.
Arsene Wenger’s successor Unai Emery has already overseen two new signings at The Emirates after the Gunners signed Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno in the summer transfer window.
