Unai Emery wants Arsenal to sign 23-year-old Bundesliga star – report
The Arsenal manager wants to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso this summer, according to a report in England
Unai Emery has instructed Arsenal to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso, according to a report in Italy.
Italian media website Calcioinsider, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Gunners are interested in a potential deal to sign the 23-year-old.
The same article states that the Gunners would be willing cough up a fee in the region of £60m to sign the Bayern Munich star in the current transfer window.
According to the same story, the Bundesliga champions would be reluctant to sell the France international given Bayern signed Tolisso in a £35m deal last summer.
Tolisso scored 10 goals in 40 games in all competitions in the 2017-18 season to make a decent if unspectacular start to his Bayern career.
The 23-year-old Frenchman has amassed seven caps for les Bleus to highlight his undoubted potential.
Tolisso would be guaranteed regular first-team football at Arsenal should the Gunners decide to launch a bid for the Bayern star.
Arsenal appointed Spanish head coach Emery as their new manager last month after Arsene Wenger stood down following 22 seasons in charge of the north London side.
The Gunners finished in sixth place in the Premier League table to miss out on a top-four finish for the second successive campaign.
