The Times, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the new Gunners manager has already spoken to Fellaini about making a controversial switch to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The same article states that the north London side have scheduled further talks with the Belgium international as the Gunners look to prise the tenacious midfielder away from Old Trafford.
Fellaini, who moved to the Red Devils from Everton in a £27m deal in 2013, is set to become a free agent in the coming weeks when his current deal with Manchester United expires.
According to the same story, Emery was a big admirer of Fellaini during his two-season spell in charge of Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain.
Fellaini is thought to be looking for a big upgrade on his current £80,000-a-week deal, but Manchester United are unwilling to match the midfielder’s demands so far despite being a favourite of Jose Mourinho.
Arsenal signed Armenia international Henrikh Mkhitaryan in a swap deal from Manchester United as Alexis Sanchez moved in the other direction to Old Trafford.
