Midfielder’s agent travels to London ahead of proposed Arsenal transfer – report
Ever Banega's agent has travelled to London to finalise a move to Arsenal for the midfielder, say reports
Ever Banega’s agent has travelled to London to finalise a move to Arsenal for the midfielder, according to reports in Italy.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Sevilla star’s representative has headed to the English capital to finalise a move for the 29-year-old to head to The Emirates.
The same report says that new Arsenal boss Unai Emery is searching for cover in midfield after the departures of the likes of Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla were confirmed this summer.
Now, it is being claimed that Banega’s agent Marcelo Simonian headed to London and to hold talks with Arsenal’s hierarchy about a move to the capital for the midfielder.
However, the same article claims that Arsenal could still struggle to be able to sign Banega this summer, because Sevilla are very reluctant to let him leave the club.
Arsenal are believed to be on the looking for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to try and break back into the top four next season.
The north London side finished in sixth place and without a trophy in Arsene Wenger’s final campaign in charge at The Emirates last season.
