Unai Emery has made decision about Jack Wilshere’s Arsenal future – report
The new Arsenal boss has made a decision about Jack Wilshere's future at the north London side, according to a report
Unai Emery has decided to keep England international Jack Wilshere at Arsenal, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that the Gunners boss wants to retain the 26-year-old’s services for the 2018-19 Premier League campaign.
The same article states that Serie A giants Juventus are interested in a potential swoop to sign Wilshere on a free transfer at the end of the month.
Wilshere is set to become a free agent after the England midfielder failed to reach an agreement with the north London side about a contract extension.
According to the same story, new Arsenal boss Emery will meet with Wilshere in a London hotel this week to discuss his long-term plans for the Gunners.
The Spanish head coach hopes that he can convince Wilshere to remain at the Emirates Stadium and ignore interest from the Serie A champions.
Arsenal finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a Champions League spot in consecutive campaigns.
The Gunners lost 3-0 to Premier League champions Manchester City in the League Cup final at Wembley last term.
The north London side reached the Europa League semi-finals before a 2-1 aggregate loss to Atletico Madrid.
