Unai Emery is keen on a deal to bring Steven N’Zonzi to Arsenal as one of his first summer signings, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the new Arsenal boss is keen to push through a deal to bring the 29-year-old to The Emirates as one of his first acquisitions this summer.

Emery will have been drawing up his list of transfer targets in recent days after having been appointed as the north London club’s new manager last month.

And according to the same report, Emery is keen on a reunion with N’Zonzi, who he worked with during his time in charge of Sevilla.

The same report says that Arsenal showed an interest in signing N’Zonzi back in January but failed to take their pursuit of him any further.

However, now it is being suggested that the Gunners could be set to make a move to try and bring the Frenchman to The Emirates this summer as one of Emery’s first signings.

Arsenal are likely to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to build a team capable of breaking back into the top four next season.
