Arsenal are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Yacine Adli from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in the British media.

The Guardian is reporting that the north London side are close to concluding a deal to bring the highly-rated 17-year-old to The Emirates as one of Unai Emery’s first summer signings.

The same report says that Arsenal have offered Adli an initial three-year contract after he rejected the chance to extend his stay at Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the same story, new Gunners boss Unai Emery is working to complete the deal after he gave Adli his first team debut at PSG.

Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to build a squad capable of at least breaking back into the top four next season.

The north London side finished in sixth place in the Premier League table as they missed out on Champions League qualification for the second season running.

The Gunners will be looking to try and challenge for the Premier League title in the seasons to come after their failure to win the top flight trophy since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
