Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the Serie A giants are keen on a move to bring the Spain international to the San Siro and they are willing to sell highly-rated young goalkeeper Donnarumma as part of the transfer.
The same report says that Chelsea FC are considering letting Alvaro Morata leave the club after just a year, following his transfer from Real Madrid last summer.
Morata, 25, started life at Chelsea FC strongly last season but his form in the second part of the campaign tailed off after he suffered a back injury.
The striker then ended up falling being January signing Olivier Giroud in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
According to the same story, Morata is keen on leaving Stamford Bridge and AC Milan have offered the 19-year-old Donnarumma as part of a straight swap deal.
The move could suit Chelsea FC, with Thibaut Courtois out of contract next summer and the Belgian goalkeeper yet to commit to a new deal at the Stamford Bridge club.
