Sky Sports is reporting that both of the London clubs are keen on a move to bring the 26-year-old to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester City also interested in a deal.
However, the same story says that the uncertainty about the managerial situation at Chelsea FC could hamper their chances of getting a deal done for Seri this summer.
According to the same report, Arsenal’s interest in Seri is coming through their Head of Football Relations Raul Sanllehi, who almost signed the midfielder last summer when he was working for FC Barcelona.
The same article says that Seri would be available for just £35m this summer, and that Manchester City are continuing to keep tabs on the midfielder as they look to try and push through a deal for Jorginho.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to significantly bolster their squads ahead of next season.
Arsenal finished sixth and without a trophy, while Chelsea FC were fifth and won the FA Cup.
