Cesar Azpilicueta believes that Chelsea FC are not going to have problems attracting some top talents to Stamford Bridge this summer despite missing out on Champions League qualification for next season.

The Blues ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table last season after a disappointing second campaign under Antonio Conte.

It means that the west London side will have to settle for a spot in the Europa League next season rather than the Champions League as they bid to try and improve next term.

Chelsea FC did manage to end the season on a positive note when they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.

Attentions will now turn towards the summer transfer window and the players the Blues will look to sign ahead of next season.

And Chelsea FC defender Azpiliceuta feels that the Blues are not going to struggle to attract players this summer without the lure of Champions League football.

Azpiliceuta is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard: “Of course big players will still want to come to Chelsea because we win lots of silverware.

“I have no doubt that the club will get a squad that can compete to win for trophies. I am sure that will happen.

“If the club decides that we need to get players in, I’m sure we will get the quality we want.

“It was important to win this season with a trophy. It shows we are still winners. When the results are not there, people look for something else.”

Chelsea FC won the Premier League title in Conte’s first campaign at the club but they struggled to produce consistent form last term.
