Chelsea FC plot big-money move to sign Bayern Munich star – report
Chelsea FC want to sign Robert Lewandowski this summer, according to reports
Chelsea FC are keen on a move to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the west London club have emerged as one of the top destinations for the 29-year-old striker after he announced his intention to quit the Bundesliga club this summer.
Lewandowski is widely considered to be one of European football’s top strikers and his situation is likely to spark a bidding war in the summer transfer window.
According to the same report, Chelsea FC are looking to begin their summer recruitment drive, even if they have not yet resolved their managerial situation.
The same story says that Bayern will seek a transfer fee of more than £80m for the Poland striker this summer should they agree to sell him.
It is also claimed that the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Lewandowski this summer.
Chelsea FC endured a disappointing season in the Premier League as they ended up in fifth place and missed out on Champions League qualification.
However, the Blues did manage to end the campaign on a high by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final last month.
