The Evening Standard is reporting that the Blues’ hopes of keeping the Belgian shot-stopper at Stamford Bridge have been handed a boost by the news that Real Madrid are poised to land the Brazilian goalkeeper from AS Roma.
The same story says that although Courtois has been on Real Madrid’s transfer hit list for a number of years, they have now set their sights on signing Alisson from Roma.
Courtois has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid because his two children live in the Spanish capital and he has been strongly touted as a target for the La Liga giants.
However, should the Spanish outfit conclude a deal for Alisson, it would all but end the goalkeeper’s hopes of a move to the Bernabeu this summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are still believed to be on the lookout for a number of signings this summer as they look to try and assemble a team capable of winning the title next term.
The Blues finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season.
