Chelsea FC line up first summer signing in £25m deal – report
Chelsea FC are keen on a deal to sign 23-year-old Juventus defender Daniele Rugani this summer, say reports
Chelsea FC are hoping to tie up a deal to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus as Maurizio Sarri’s first signing, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Blues are set to appoint the Napoli coach as their new boss and that they are closing in on a move to bring the Juventus defender to Stamford Bridge as his first recruit.
The same story says that the Blues could make their first signing of the summer by concluding a £25m deal to bring the highly-rated Rugani to the west London club.
The 23-year-old Italy international has been touted as a possible target for the west London side this summer as they look to strengthen their options at the back ahead of next season.
The Blues are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to build a team capable of winning the Premier League title next term.
The west London side ended up in a disappointing fifth place in the Premier League table last season as they missed out on Champions League qualification, to leave them playing Europa League football next term.
