Chelsea FC star claims Eden Hazard has just reached another level
Thibaut Coutois talks up Eden Hazard's fine form for Chelsea FC recently
Eden Hazard has stepped his game up to another level while on international duty with Belgium, according to Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgium international captained his side to a 3-0 win over Panama in their opening group game at the World Cup in Russia on Monday afternoon as Roberto Martinez’s side began their campaign in winning fashion.
Hazard, 27, has been often criticised for failing to deliver on his potential at Chelsea FC in recent seasons but he has been in good form of late and he netted the winning goal in the Blues’ 1-0 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup final last month.
Courtois knows all about Hazard’s ability after playing with him at both club and international level for the last few years.
And the Chelsea FC goalkeeper reckons that the attacker has stepped his game up in the last few weeks as he looks to enjoy a successful World Cup with the Red Devils.
Courtois is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard: “I have known him so many years and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him train and play as amazing as he has done in the last three weeks.
“He’s reach another level and I hope he can show that.”
It remains to be seen whether Hazard will end up staying at Chelsea FC beyond the summer transfer window or not after the Blues missed out on qualification for next season’s Champions League.
