Eden Hazard makes Real Madrid decision after Zinedine Zidane exit – report
Eden Hazard is still open to a move to Real Madrid despite Zinedine Zidane's exit, say reports
Eden Hazard is still keen on signing for Real Madrid this summer despite Zinedine Zidane’s exit from the club, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the 27-year-old Chelsea FC playmaker is still open to a move to the Bernabeu following Zidane’s shock decision to step down last week.
The France legend opted to leave the Spanish club after guiding them to their third straight Champions League trophy.
Chelsea FC star Hazard has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid and that speculation is likely to heighten this summer after the Blues missed out on qualification for next season’s Champions League.
The same story says that Real Madrid’s search for a new manager will not greatly impact the La Liga side’s pursuit of Hazard this summer.
The Belgian netted the winning goal for Chelsea FC as the Blues claimed a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.
However, the Blues will not be playing in the Champions League next season after they ended up in fifth place in the Premier League in Antonio Conte’s second campaign at the club.
