Chelsea FC are confident of being able to conclude a deal to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa this summer, according to reports in the British media.

Website TEAMtalk is reporting that the Blues are growing increasingly confident that they will be able to beat a number of other Premier League clubs to get the 22-year-old to sign for them this summer.

The same report says that Aston Villa value Grealish at around £40m.

However, it is claimed that Chelsea FC are willing to pay £30m and loan him straight back to the Championship club for the whole of next season.

The same article says that Grealish himself wanted to stay at Aston Villa for at least another 12 months despite the club’s failure to earn promotion back to the Premier League.

According to the same report, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle all also keen on a move to sign Grealish this summer.

Chelsea FC are on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they bid to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.

They finished fifth and won the FA Cup last season under Antonio Conte.
