The 26-year-old midfielder has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, and Seri is understood to have interested a number of England’s top clubs.
Chelsea FC have been regularly touted as a possible destination for the midfielder, although there has been no official confirmation of the interest from the Blues.
Now, Sheth has revealed that Serie A side Napoli are in the race to sign Seri this summer, but the player himself would favour a move to the Premier League, even if it means missing out on Champions League football by signing for Chelsea FC this summer.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: “I am told the agent [of Seri] is looking to meet Napoli’s officials next week.
“Seri is tempted by wearing the jersey of Napoli. Chelsea do have an interest and his preference is to play in the Premier League.
“He would forgo the Champions League to play in the Premier League.”
Chelsea FC are yet to announce any new signings this summer amid the uncertainty about their managerial situation.
The west London side are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new recruits as they bid to build a squad capable of at least breaking back into the top four next season.
The Blues finished fifth and won the FA Cup under Antonio Conte last season.
