Frank Leboeuf believes that N’Golo Kante can play a key role in helping France to win the World Cup in Russia this summer.

The central midfielder has earned a reputation as one of the finest players in his position in recent seasons after helping both Leicester City and Chelsea FC to win the title in the last three years.

Kante joined Chelsea FC from Leicester in the summer of 2016 and helped to fire them to Premier League glory in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge of the west London club.

The 27-year-old will be hoping to enjoy a successful World Cup campaign with France as he bids to help his national team progress in this summer’s tournament in Russia.

And Chelsea FC legend LeBoeuf has raved about Kante and the influence he can have in the France team this summer.

The Blues legend is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard: “If N’Golo is in top form, we might be able to cause a surprise and win the World Cup again.

“I hope that they do that and I wish for him that he does that because he deserves credit for the way he works.

“I am a huge admirer of N’Golo. Nobody can hate that guy. You will always love that guy, even if he scores against you. He is always smiling, always nice.

“He is a shy guy with a real talent and knows how to think about football. He anticipates a lot, is very clever and is a tough guy at the same time.

“He is the perfect partner, he is the guy that can commit to what you want and what you think. He is ready to go to war for you.

“I’m not surprised that in what was not the most fantastic season, he was Chelsea’s best player, the most consistent.

“Now Didier Deschamps has to put him in the middle of the national team because he became one of the main players for France and he’s done so without talking, just doing.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea FC will be looking to bring in some significant reinforcements in the summer transfer window as they look to try and challenge for the title next season.

It ended up being a disappointing campaign for Conte’s men last term as the Blues finished fifth before winning the FA Cup.
