Chelsea FC told that 52-year-old would be a great fit as new boss
Frank Leboeuf feels that Laurent Blanc would be a perfect fit for Chelsea FC
Frank Leboeuf feels that Laurent Blanc would be a perfect fit for Chelsea FC as their new manager.
The Blues are believed to be on the lookout for a new manager this summer amid the uncertainty about Antonio Conte’s situation at Stamford Bridge.
The Italian has been strongly linked with a move away from the west London club after Chelsea FC finished fifth in the Premier League table in his second season in charge and missed out on Champions League qualification.
Blanc, 52, has been strongly touted as a possible candidate to take over from Conte at Stamford Bridge this summer.
And Leboeuf has explained why he thinks that Blanc would be a good fit for the west London side should he indeed take over at Chelsea FC.
Speaking to ESPN FC, Blanc said: “I think he will be a good fit. He has been waiting for two seasons.
“He was waiting for the right club – a big club. He wants to win the Champions League.
“He is very talented. He has a very good philosophy. He is more [like] Guardiola than Klopp.”
Chelsea FC ended up in fifth place in the Premier League last term after a season of inconsistency in the top flight.
However, they did manage to end the campaign on a positive note when they claimed a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley to finish the season with a trophy.
The Blues are yet to make any new signings in the summer transfer window.
