Kaveh Solhekol says Chelsea FC are still on the lookout for a new manager this summer but that the uncertainty at the club shouldn’t affect their transfer plans.

Conte has been widely tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after two seasons in charge at the west London club.

The Italian boss led the Blues to the Premier League title in his first campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge, but their stuttering form last season caused them to finish fifth and miss out on Champions League qualification.

However, they were able to finish the campaign on a high when they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.

Chelsea FC are likely to be on the lookout for a number of signings this summer as they look to try and revamp their squad ahead of next season.

And Sky Sports reporter Sohekol feels that the uncertainty at Stamford Bridge is unlikely to affect the club’s transfer dealings this summer.

Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Solhekol said: “Yes, they need a new manager.

“Yes, there is uncertainty surrounding Roman Abramovich.

“But they are still set to spend a lot of money this summer.”

It remains to be seen who Chelsea FC will look to sign this summer as they bid to build a squad capable of breaking back into the top four next season.
