Maurizio Sarri plans to sleep at Chelsea FC’s Cobham training ground when he gets appointed as the club’s new manager this week, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is claiming that the Italian manager is on the verge of being appointed as the club’s new boss this summer as a replacement for the departing Antonio Conte.

The same story says that Napoli coach Sarri is expected in London in the next 24 hours to finalise his deal to take over from Conte at Stamford Bridge this summer.

It is claimed that he will sign a two-year contract with the Blues, with the option to extend for a further year.

And according to the same report, “workaholic” Sarri will base himself at Chelsea FC’s Cobham training ground in the coming days as he gets to grips with life in charge of the west London club.

According to the same report, Chelsea FC are keen to get their transfer business rolling, as they have not yet been able to bring in any new players this summer.

Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season as they missed out on Champions League qualification for next term.
