Chelsea FC are yet to meet Atletico Madrid’s asking price for Stefan Savic, according to reports in the Spanish media.
Spanish newspaper AS, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Blues are yet to satisfy the La Liga club’s demands as they look to try and bring the 27-year-old to Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC are facing competition from the likes of Juventus to secure the signature of Savic this summer.
The same article says that Atletico Madrid are refusing to budge on their valuation of the defender, who used to play for Manchester City.
It is claimed that the Spanish club are not willing to let him leave the club on the cheap, despite Diego Simeone being prepared to let him leave Atletico Madrid this summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are yet to make any new signings this summer as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
The Blues will have to make do with Europa League football next season after the west London side slumped to a disappointing fifth placed finish in the Premier League in what was Antonio Conte’s second campaign in charge at the club.
