The Belgian goalkeeper’s situation at Stamford Bridge has been a source of speculation recently because of the fact that his current contract with the Blues is due to expire next summer.
The Blues are thought to be keen to keep hold of Courtois and get him to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge, but there has been no official announcement of talks between the two parties.
Chelsea FC are likely to want to get the goalkeeper’s future resolved one way or the other this summer rather than risk the chance of losing him on a free transfer next year.
Now, Sunday Times journalist Castles has claimed that Courtois is seeking a move away from Stamford Bridge because of the current uncertain situation at Chelsea FC.
Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, Castles said: “He is fed up of the nonsense, the politics and chaos at Chelsea.
“He’d rather be somewhere else where he can concentrate on his football.”
Chelsea FC are preparing for a season without Champions League football next term after they finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term.
However, they did end last season on a positive note by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final back in May at Wembley.
