Thibaut Courtois is planning to hold talks with Chelsea FC about his future this summer as his situation continues to be a source of uncertainty, according to reports in the British media.

The Evening Standard is reporting that Courtois is “baffled” by talk that he could be set to quit Stamford Bridge this summer and that he is planning to hold talks with the Blues after the World Cup.

Courtois’ situation has been a source of speculation because his current contract at Chelsea FC is due to expire at the end of next season and the goalkeeper is yet to commit to a new deal at Stamford Bridge.

According to the same story, no discussions between Chelsea FC and Courtois have been held since January, but both parties are planning to resume talks after the World Cup in Russia.

The same article says that Courtois is one day keen on a move back to Madrid, because that’s where his two children are growing up, after he spent three years on loan to Atletico.

However, the goalkeeper himself is said to be “mystified” by suggestions that he could be set to leave Chelsea FC this summer and that the Blues are already searching for a replacement.
