The Blues endured a campaign to forget last season as they ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table and missed out on a place in the Champions League for next season.
However, they did manage to finish the season on a positive note by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.
Attentions will now inevitably turn towards the summer transfer window and the players Chelsea FC could look to sign ahead of next season.
However, the Blues will not be able to offer any new signings Champions League football for next season after their disappointing finish in the Premier League.
And former Chelsea FC defender Sinclair has warned the Blues that they will have to spend big on bringing in new players this summer as they bid to try and convince them to join without the prospect of Champions League football next term.
Sinclair told Sporting Bet: “Top players will be expecting to play for teams in the Champions League, and Chelsea will struggle to sign these players now.
“Chelsea will have to fork out a lot of money to convince a player to sign for them and not a team that qualified for the Champions League.”
Chelsea FC are also looking to resolve Antonio Conte’s future, with the Italian still being heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
