The 29-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge has been something of a source of speculation recently due to his lack of playing time at Chelsea FC under Antonio Conte last season.
The Brazilian attacker only made 20 Premier League starts for the Blues last term and he has been linked with a move to Manchester United among other clubs recently.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Brazil international, but Vickery seems to think that he could well be on his way out of Stamford Bridge this summer because of his lack of playing time.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Vickery said when asked if Willian could leave Chelsea FC this summer: “Very possibly.
“First he has to get a place in the starting line up. Willian has lost his first team place [in the Brazil side] to Philippe Coutinho.”
Chelsea FC dropped out of the top four and finished fifth last season as they missed out on qualification for the Champions League.
The Blues did, however, managed to end Conte’s second campaign in charge on a positive note by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.
The west London side will have to settle for a place in the Europa League for next season though, after they disappointing top-flight campaign last term.
