Roman Abramovich has decided that the new manager at Chelsea FC will not have more than £60m to spend on new signings this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that the Chelsea FC owner has decided not to grant the new man in charge at Stamford Bridge many funds to strengthen the squad this summer.

There has been relentless speculation about who will be taking charge at Stamford Bridge this summer, with Antonio Conte widely expected to depart the club ahead of next season.

Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri is believed to be the leading candidate to take over, but there is yet to be any official announcement at Stamford Bridge.

The same report carries quotes from transfer insider Ian McGarry, who claims that the Blues will not have much to spend on new signings this summer.

Chelsea FC fans are becoming increasingly restless this summer, with their team having yet to confirm the signing of any new players as the managerial uncertainty continues at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side will be at least aiming to break back into the top four next season after they finished in fifth place and won the FA Cup last term.
