Chelsea FC want £70m to sell want-away Spanish striker – report
Chelsea FC will consider the potential sale of Alvaro Morata this summer, according to a report
Alvaro Morata will demand to leave Chelsea FC in the summer transfer window, according to a report.
The Daily Mirror is quoting reports in Italy that suggest Morata is looking to leave the Blues following a disappointing debut season in the Premier League.
The same article states that the Blues would be open to selling Morata in the summer transfer window but the west London side want a transfer fee between £65m and £70m.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC are eager to recoup the £60m that the 2017 Premier League champions spent on the Spain international last summer.
The former Real Madrid striker scored 11 times in 31 games in the Premier League last season to struggle during his debut campaign in the England top flight.
Morata was a second-half substitute in Chelsea FC’s 1-0 win against Manchester United in the FA Cup at Wembley last season.
The Spanish forward won two La Liga titles, three Champions League crowns and two Copa del Rey trophies at Real Madrid.
Morata was successful in Serie A after he won back-to-back top-flight titles before successive Coppa Italia trophies.
Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a top-four spot for the second successive campaign.
