Insider plays down talk of Chelsea FC star moving to Real Madrid this summer
Belgian reporter Kristof Terreur cools talk of Real Madrid signing Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard this summer
Eden Hazard is unlikely to move to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC this summer, according to Kristof Terreur.
The Blues forward is facing an uncertain future at the west London side following a difficult season for Chelsea FC.
Antonio Conte’s side finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table to miss out on a Champions League spot next term.
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title with two games to spare in the 2016-17 season but the Blues struggled to defend their crown.
The west London side did finish the most recent campaign with silverware after Hazard scored the winner from the penalty spot in a 1-0 win against Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
The 27-year-old has been regularly linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid over the past few seasons, although a deal hasn’t materialised so far.
Zinedine Zidane was thought to be a big admirer of the Belgian forward but the France legend has since stood down and has been replaced by Julen Lopetegui.
Belgian reporter Terreur has revealed that he hasn’t heard of any interest in Hazard from Real Madrid since Zidane’s departure.
“I haven’t heard anything about Real Madrid being in for Hazard since Zidane left,” Terreur told the Transfer Talk podcast.
