The Blues are likely to be linked with a host of players this summer as they look to strengthen their squad and build a team capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
It ended up being a disappointing season for the west London side as they finished in fifth place in the table and missed out on qualification for next term’s Champions League.
However, they did finish their campaign on a positive note when they beat Manchester United 1-0 in the FA Cup final last month.
Attentions will now inevitably turn towards the summer transfer window and the players they could look to bring in ahead of next season.
And former Chelsea FC defender Sinclair feels that the west London side need to bring in attacking reinforcements given Alvaro Morata’s mixed first season at the club.
Speaking to Sporting Bet, Sinclair said: “They will need another striker.
“Morata started well but struggled as he went on, whilst Giroud took his place and played well, but they haven’t replaced Costa since he left.
“The new manager may not see either Morata or Giroud as players who fit the role they want up front.
“But I definitely think that this is a position that needs to be addressed.”
Chelsea FC will be aiming to at least break back into the Champions League places next season after they finished fifth last term.
The Blues will also look to resolve Antonio Conte’s future, with the Italian’s situation having been a constant source of speculation this term.
