Cesc Fabregas sends Chelsea FC challenge to Eden Hazard
The Chelsea FC midfielder wants Eden Hazard to fire the Blues to Champions League glory
Cesc Fabregas has challenged Eden Hazard to win the Champions League with Chelsea FC.
The Belgium international has been the west London side’s standout player over the past few seasons after he scored a combined 30 goals in their title-winning campaigns in 2015 and 2017.
Hazard won the PFA player of the year in 2015 after the Belgian forward played a key role in their Premier League success under Jose Mourinho before he struggled in the 2016-17 campaign.
The 27-year-old has been regularly linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid over the past few campaigns but a deal has failed to materialise for the Belgian forward despite being a los Blancos fan.
Hazard has won the Premier League twice, the FA Cup, the League Cup, the Europa League and the Community Shield during his six-season spell at the Stamford Bridge outfit.
However, the talented Belgian playmaker hasn’t won the Champions League title after the Blues struggled to reach the latter stages of Europe’s top competition.
Fabregas, though, would like to see Hazard inspired Chelsea FC to title glory.
“He has all the attributes and the only piece missing is the Champions League,” Fabregas told the Daily Telegraph.
“If he won that with Chelsea, then he would have everything at club level.
“If he stays, I’m sure he will be, if not the best, one of the best players Chelsea has ever had and will ever have.”
Chelsea FC haven’t won the Champions League since a penalty shootout win over Bayern Munich in 2012.
Fabregas, like Hazard, hasn’t won the Champions League crown.
