Real Madrid want Chelsea FC star to replace Cristiano Ronaldo – report
Real Madrid are interested in a deal to sign Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, according to a report
Real Madrid want to sign Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard to replace Cristiano Ronaldo if the Portugal international leaves this summer, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Ronaldo has learned that los Blancos wants to sign the Belgium international in the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Belgian forward Hazard is desperate to move to Real Madrid having been regularly linked with a move to the 13-time European champions over the past few summers.
However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez would rather sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar rather than Hazard to bolster Real Madrid’s attacking options under their new boss Julen Lopetegui.
Hazard has little over 24 months left to run on his current Chelsea FC deal and the Blues are interested in securing the Belgian forward on a new long-term contract to secure his future.
The 27-year-old was one of Chelsea FC’s standout players in an otherwise disappointing campaign for the west London outfit.
Hazard has won two Premier League titles in two of the past four seasons as well as winning the EFL Cup, the FA Cup and the Europa League.
