Chelsea FC eye £66m swoop to sign 24-year-old linked with Liverpool FC – report
Chelsea FC and Spurs have been offered the chance to sign Lyon star Nabil Fekir, according to a report in England
Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur are on alert after Lyon offered Liverpool FC target Nabil Fekir to the Premier League clubs, according to a report in England.
The Sun is reporting that Liverpool FC were unable to get a deal over the line after the Reds proving unwilling to match Lyon’s asking price due to concerns about his medical.
The same article is stating that the France international has now been offered to Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC’s top-six rivals Chelsea FC and Tottenham are in the market to improve their attacking options this summer.
Fekir is currently part of the France national team that is competing at the World Cup in Russia.
He came off the bench in their 2-1 win against Australian in their World Cup opener last week.
Fekir scored 18 goals and made eight assists in 30 appearances in Ligue 1 last season to help Lyon finish in third place in the French top flight.
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term despite selling Philippe Coutinho in a £142m deal to FC Barcelona.
The Reds are now being linked with Stoke City forward Xherdan Shaqiri.
