Chelsea FC want to complete two important summer deals – report
Chelsea FC are hoping to sign CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin but sell Englishman Danny Drinkwater, according to a report
Chelsea FC have prioritised signing CSKA Moscow playmaker Aleskandr Golovin and offloading England international Danny Drinkwater this summer, according to a report in England.
The Daily Telegraph, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Blues are eager to sell Drinkwater in the current transfer window to raise funds for potential summer deals.
The same article states that Chelsea FC view Golovin as an automatic starter in their starting XI should the Blues succeed in winning the race to sign the Russia international.
According to the same story, the Blues would need to sell flop Drinkwater to raise the cash to make an audacious bid to sign the World Cup star ahead of bitter rivals Arsenal this summer.
The Daily Telegraph go on to reveal that the west London side don’t want to sell England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek or January signing Ross Barkley but will consider bids for Drinkwater.
The Blues are in desperate need of an overhaul after Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season behind Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool FC.
Chelsea FC will take part in the Europa League next term after missing out on top-four finish.
