Cesc Fabregas doesn’t expect the World Cup to decide Eden Hazard’s future at Chelsea FC.

The Belgian star is facing an uncertain future at the FA Cup winners following a difficult Premier League season for Chelsea FC.

Antonio Conte’s side finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table to miss out on a Champions League spot next term.

Chelsea FC won the Premier League title with two games to spare in the 2016-17 season thanks in part to Hazard’s 16 goals under Conte.

The former Lille star scored the winner from the penalty spot in a 1-0 win against Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley to ensure Chelsea FC ended the 2017-18 season with 16 goals.

The 27-year-old has been regularly linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid over the past few seasons, although a deal hasn’t materialised so far.

Hazard’s team-mate Fabregas doesn’t believe the Belgium international’s performances at the World Cup will affect his stay at Chelsea FC.

“The World Cup won’t decide Eden’s future, I don’t think,” Fabregas told the Daily Telegraph.

“Scouts follow you everywhere and he has done more than enough for clubs to see his talent, but I really hope he can stay at Chelsea for many years and become one of the biggest legends in the club’s history.”

The Blues signed Hazard in a deal from Ligue 1 side Lille in the 2012 summer transfer window.

Chelsea FC finished in fifth spot in the Premier League last term to miss out on a Champions League spot.
