Eden Hazard takes to social media to wish Frank Lampard all the best in his first job in management
Eden Hazard has taken to social media to wish Frank Lampard luck after he was confirmed as Derby County’s new manager.
Lampard and Hazard played together at Chelsea FC before the England international hung up his boots, and the former midfielder is now preparing for his first job in football management.
Lampard had been on punditry duty for BT Sport over the last season but he will now leave that role to take on the Derby job.
And Chelsea FC playmaker Hazard was quick to pay tribute to Lampard after he was confirmed as Derby’s new manager last week.
Hazard posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Good luck @franklampard with your new challenge @dcfcofficial you always looked good in a suit my friend! See you soon!! 👔💼📝 #chelsealegend.”
Hazard’s future at Chelsea FC is likely to be a source of speculation this summer after the Blues missed out on Champions League qualification for next season.
The west London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table in Antonio Conte’s second campaign at the club.
However, Hazard did help to inspire the Blues to a trophy as Chelsea FC claimed a 1-0 win over Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last month.
Hazard signed for Chelsea FC from French side Lille back in 2012.
