Eden Hazard heaps praise on Man United star
Eden Hazard praises Romelu Lukaku for his solid performance for Belgium in their 5-2 win over Tunisia
Eden Hazard has praised Romelu Lukaku for his solid performance for Belgium in their 5-2 win over Tunisia at the World Cup on Saturday.
Hazard was publicly critical of Lukaku for his performance for the Belgian Red Devils in their group opener against Panama last week, before the Manchester United striker netted twice to help his side to victory.
Lukaku scored twice once again against Tunisia to help Belgium all but book their place in the knockout phase of this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
And Belgium captain Hazard was very impressed by the way Lukaku performed for his national team on Saturday, before he was forced off with an injury in the second half.
Speaking at his post-match news conference, Hazard said: “It’s easy to play with a player like him.
“You pass the ball when he’s in front of you and he scores every time.
“He had a fantastic game and scored two goals, that is what you want.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are yet to make any new signings this summer as they look to try and assemble a team capable of winning the Premier League title next term.
The Blues ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table last season and missed out on a spot in the Champions League next term.
Manchester United will be aiming to challenge for the Premier League title next season after they finished in second place last term.
