Eden Hazard has admitted that he wants to see Mohamed Salah make a full recovery and feature for Egypt at the World Cup this summer.

The 25-year-old is facing a race against time to prove his fitness after he suffered a shoulder injury in the first half of Liverpool FC’s Champions League final defeat by Real Madrid last month.

Salah is now bidding to recover as quickly as possible as he looks to make himself available for this summer’s World Cup in Russia, which is set to get under way next Friday.

Now, Chelsea FC star Hazard has admitted that he wants to see his “friend” Salah make a quick recovery and be able to feature for his team in Russia this summer.

Speaking in an interview with On Sports, Hazard said: “Salah is a friend and I wish he will recover before the World Cup

“Egypt are a good team. They have many good players and I think they will perform well in the World Cup. Egypt are a compact team and they are very organised.”

Salah was one of European football’s top performing players last season and he scored a staggering 44 goals in all competitions following his move to the club from AS Roma last summer.

The attacker was also voted as the PFA player of the year as he helped Liverpool FC to finish in the top four and reach the Champions League final, where they were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid.
