Spanish outlet Marca is reporting that the Chelsea FC playmaker made contact with the La Liga giants in the days leading up to the Champions League final to offer them the chance to sign the 27-year-old playmaker this summer.
According to the same story, Hazard has put talks about a new contract at Chelsea FC on hold after the Blues missed out on qualification for next season’s Champions League.
The same article claims that the playmaker now feels that it is time to move on from Chelsea FC after having been heavily linked with a transfer to Real Madrid in recent years.
The story says that Hazard’s desire to move to Real Madrid is for sporting reasons rather than financial ones.
It is also claimed in the same article that Real Madrid are indeed keeping a close eye on Hazard’s performances at the World Cup with Belgium this summer, even if the Spanish side currently have an embarrassment of riches in his position.
Hazard joined Chelsea FC from French side Lille back in the summer of 2012 and has won two Premier League titles since his switch.
