Emre Can is set to undergo a medical at Juventus this week as the Liverpool FC midfielder closes in on a transfer away from Anfield, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the Germany international is set to move to the Serie A side this summer after having been strongly linked with a move away from Merseyside in recent months.

Can’s current Liverpool FC contract is set to expire this summer, meaning that he can leave the Premier League club on a free transfer.

Liverpool FC confirmed that Can was leaving the club this month after failing to agree new terms with the Reds.

Now, the same report says that Can will undergo a medical with the Turin club before the end of the month as he looks to finalise his move to Juventus.

Liverpool FC have already begun their summer recruitment drive after having tied up a deal to bring midfielder Fabinho to Anfield from Monaco earlier in the transfer window.

The Reds are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
