Liverpool FC and Juventus are interested in a deal to sign Real Madrid star Mateo Kovacic, according to a report
Liverpool FC and Juventus have been handed a boost as Mateo Kovacic looks to quit Real Madrid this summer, according to a report in Spain.
Spanish media outlet Cadena Cope, as quoted by Calciomercato.com, is reporting that the Croatia international wants to leave the Champions League holders this summer.
The same article states that Juventus are very interested in a deal to bring Kovacic to Turin to strengthen their options in the middle of the park.
According to the same story, Liverpool FC have also monitored Kovacic in recent months to provide the versatile Croatian star with two possible options in the current market.
The 24-year-old moved to Real Madrid in a €29m deal from Serie A giants Inter Milan in the 2015 summer transfer window.
The Croatian midfielder has scored three times in 109 games in all competitions during three seasons in the Spanish capital.
Kovacic has won three Champions League titles, the La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup during his spell at The Bernabeu so far.
Liverpool FC lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev last month following goals from Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale.
