The Merseyside outfit lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev after Loris Karius made two mistakes.
Van Dijk is already excited about Liverpool FC’s potential to secure success next season.
Van Dijk wrote on his Instagram page: “I just want to thank everyone for all of your amazing support this season.
“It’s meant a lot to me and I really appreciate all of the messages I’ve received throughout the campaign. I’m already excited about next season and the challenges that lie ahead for club and country.

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term after the Reds qualified in the Champions League for the second successive season.
The Merseyside outfit were 4-0 winners against Brighton and Hove Albion in their final Premier League game of the campaign to secure a top-four spot.
