Liverpool FC held talks with Alisson's representatives over the weekend, according to reports
Liverpool FC held secret talks with the representatives of AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson this weekend, according to reports in Brazil.
Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Reds held talks with Alisson’s camp about a possible move to Anfield on Saturday, after the goalkeeper travelled to England for Brazil’s 2-0 friendly win on Merseyside on Sunday.
Liverpool FC are inevitably being linked with a number of goalkeepers this summer after Loris Karius’ nightmare performance in the Champions League final last month.
Alisson has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool FC in recent months and it seems the Reds made the most of his trip to Anfield with his national team over the weekend, if the reports are to be believed.
Liverpool FC have already wrapped up their first signing of the summer transfer window by completing a deal to land Brazilian midfielder Fabinho from Monaco last week.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season as they secured qualification for next term’s Champions League.
The Merseyside outfit were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev last month as their search for their first major trophy under Jurgen Klopp goes on.
